Region 9 Preview: Midwest
February 09, 2024The best teams in Region 9 comes from Wisconsin. UW-La Crosse looks as strong as does UW-Stevens Point. UW-Whitewater will be a factor as well. Add Bethel, Gustavus and Buena Vista and you have a region that competes with any other.

Super-regional tickets punched

Cortland win solidifies lead in SUNYAC

Babson clicking on all cyclinders in win over Wooster

Coe is introduced as Moravian's new head coach
June 30, 2022Moravian University has named SUNY Cortland Assistant Coach Douglas Coe as their new head coach, just the program's sixth head coach since 1935. Coe will begin his duties on July 18 with the Greyhounds.

Salisbury takes Series opener
June 03, 2022Salisbury took a lead early in the game and went on to win 8-3 over UW-Stevens Point as they opened their title defense with a win in bracket one. The Sea Gulls will play Marietta in the bracket winners finale on Saturday.

Four punch tickets to the D-III World Series
May 28, 2022Baldwin Wallace was the first team to punch their ticket to Cedar Rapids, then it was UW-Stevens Point and later Trinity (Texas). LaGrange defeated Chapman to earn a spot in their D-III World Series.

Pointers gives new head coach no-hit game in his first win
March 25, 2021UW-Stevens Point head baseball coach Nat Richter won his first game in UWSP's home opener, a 10-0 no-hitter win in eight innings over visiting Finlandia (0-4). The Pointers (2-2) completed the sweep with a 16-1 run-rule victory in game two.

Richter replaced Jirschele at USWP
January 10, 2021Former Pointers second baseman Nat Richter returns to UW-Stevens Point as the head baseball coach, UWSP athletic director Brad Duckworth announced today (Dec. 10). Richter becomes the 15th coach in program history and just the third since his playing days under Pat Bloom in 2004.

Jirschele named Pointer's head coach
July 01, 2015Jeremy Jirschele has been named the head coach at UW-Stevens Point, school officials announced Wednesday, July 1. He replaced Pat Bloom who moved to Washington University.

Bloom moves south to Washington
June 16, 2015Washington University announced the hiring of Pat Bloom as head coach of the Bears’ baseball team. Bloom is the 13th baseball coach in program history. Bloom leaves UWSP after 12 seasons as the head coach of the Pointers.
