College of St. Scholastica school officials announced the hiring of Brooks Repking as the new head coach of the baseball program on Wednesday morning. Repking is the first permanent head coach following two years with an interim head coach.

ST. PAUL (csssaints.com) - The College of St. Scholastica baseball team finally had the opportunity to take on Bethel University Wednesday night, having to reschedule the Royals after unplayable field conditions postponed the original meeting in Duluth on Sunday. The game proved to be a thriller as the teams batted until the 15th inning, which is when Joey Zwak scored the game-winning run after a close play at the plate to give the Saints the 3-2 victory.
St. Scholastica easily swept a pair fron Iowa Wesleyan as did Amherst. The Mammoths trailed Wisconsin Lutheran for only two innings as they swept a pair from the Warriors. No. 1 UMass-Boston shook off their first loss with a narrow win over No. 11 Oswego State.

LAKELAND, Fla. (csssaints.com) – Sophomore Joey Zwak's one-out hit in the bottom of the 10th drove in Aaron Weber to give the St. Scholastica baseball team a 6-5 victory over Washington University-St. Louis Sunday morning to open play at the Russmatt Invitational.
Solid pitching and hitting up and down the lineup, gave St. Scholastica a doubleheader sweep to start their season. In Baltimore, the balls were flying out of the park as the Blue Jays had seven round trippers and the Griffins had one solo shot.
After years of dominance by the WIAC during Regional action, Concordia-Chicago finally came on top last season. UWW have a ton of pitching returning. Concordia will have to rely on the next crop of upperclassmen to make a statement in the playoffs.
Spokane was added as the regional host in late March. Adrian and the MAC was announce as NCAA Regional hosts in mid February. William Peace and Cortland were tabbed to host Regionals in 2017 with Webster, Mass-Maritime and St. Scholastica added in early 2018.

Southern Maine and St. Scholastica extended their win streaks to 15 games with doubleheader sweeps on Saturday. The 15 game win streaks are the second longest active streaks, a game shy of La Roche's 16 game streak.

North Central opened their CCIW season with a win over Elmhurst. Washington and Jefferson as well as St. Scholastica and Belhaven followed the Cardinals winning formula putting runs on board early with crisp pitching.
Two teams from the WIAC, UW-La Crosse and UW-Whitewater made the trip to Appleton in 2016. Concordia-Chicago, St. Scholastica and St. Thomas will join the WIAC power teams to see who will earn the right to represent the Midwest in 2017.
