The Baruch Bearcats upset No. 16 ranked St. John Fisher, 2-1, in the first game of a doubleheader played on Saturday afternoon at MCU Park in Coney Island. Pitching ace Paul Perezcame up big on the mound with a complete game line of seven innings, six hits allowed, one earned run, five strikeouts and one walk for the victory on a warm afternoon near the Coney Island Beach. The win was his team-leading fourth of the season
Seniors Alex Basso and Joe Pareres pitched consecutive complete games against Wilkes, leading the Valiants to a crucial doubleheader Freedom Conference sweep of the Colonels, 5-2 and 16-1.
Keystone bounced back from a 2-1, nine-inning loss in the opening game of a key CSAC doubleheader to win the nightcap 8-3, to earn a split of the doubleheader at Christy Mathewson Field. In the opener, Gwynedd Mercy picked up the extra-inning win despite getting just three hits in the game as the Griffins took advantage of four errors by the Giants.
Top-ranked Linfield totaled 29 runs off 28 hits in an annihilating nonconference doubleheader sweep against Pomona-Pitzer. The Wildcats, defending NCAA Division III champions, ran their record to 25-3 overall with back-to-back double-digit victories, 16-4 and 13-3. Jake Wylie hit 3-for-7 with a team-high nine RBIs, including six in game two.

of the year by topping NJCU, 3-2 & 1-0. Mantione's 12 inning
performance sets a new single-game Kean record for shutout innings
pitched while tying a single-game inning pitched mark with Danny
Zeffiro. Mantione allowed just five hits with 12 strikeouts and no
walks.
In a battle for first place in the OAC standings, Marietta
split a doubleheader with No. 12 Heidelberg. The Pioneers
posted a 4-1 win in game one, while the Student Princes took the
second game, 9-7. The Pioneers are one game back in the OAC
standings behind league leaders Heidelberg and John Carroll.

Behind the fifth complete game effort of the season from Bryan Bierlein, Christopher Newport handed No. 23 York just their second conference loss of the year, earning a doubleheader split in the CAC finale. The Captains won, 7-2, in game one, and dropped game two, 9-8. CNU will be the No. 3 seed in next week's CAC Tournament, and will host an opening round game.
New Paltz State was able to rally back in the eighth inning of its second SUNYAC game of the day against Fredonia State, gaining a doubleheader sweep on at Loren Campbell Memorial Field. The Hawks defeated the visiting Blue Devils, 1-0, in the first game and followed with a 6-4 victory in game two.
Drew swept a crucial doubleheader at Juniata in Landmark action to place itself in a playoff position with eight league games remaining in 2014. A pair of rookie starting pitchers helped the Rangers take the two conference games, 6-1 in game one, and 7-6 in the second game of the twin bill. Tommy Broyles got his first career win on the mound in the first game after throwing six innings, allowing one run on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Michael Manfra hurled six innings to also earn his first career win, allowing four runs on six hits, six walks and six strikeouts.
No. 3 Webster won a doubleheader at Greenville, 9-5 and 11-7, running its winning streak to 16. The Gorlok bats rattled for 24 hits and 20 runs in the double dip. Matt Winckel led the Gorlok offense with a 5-for-8 day with six RBIs for the doubleheader.
Alvernia swept a MACC doubleheader from Lebanon Valley by scores of 3-0, 4-2. Senior Mike Weinhold got the win in the opener going six innings and striking out 10 while allowing just three hits. Steve Price followed with six innings in game two allowing two unearned runs on six hits. Junior closer Kevin Becker-Menditto pitched a scoreless seventh inning in both games to pick up a pair of saves.

Emory junior Brett Lake drove broke tie in the bottom of the eighth inning with a sacrifice fly, his Division III leading 50th of the season, to give the Eagles a 5-4 victory over Southwestern at Chappell Park. The win was the fourth-straight for the Eagles.

Mary Hardin-Baylor rallied late in game one but ran out of late magic in game two as the Cru split a doubleheader with Hardin-Simmons in Abilene. UMHB won game one 6-5 before falling 7-4 in game two.
Scott Huley tripled and scored unearned in the top of the ninth inning for the game-winning run to lead Trinity (Conn.) to an 8-7 victory over Tufts in NESCAC East Division action on Huskins Field. Trinity lost the second game, 3-2, after handing Tufts its first loss since a March 21 loss to Lynchburg during spring break.
Senior Jon Spitz and junior Joe Hulme each had four hits while Hulme also drove in three runs to help pace Wentworth to a CCC doubleheader sweep of Nichols. The Leopards took the first game, 8-5, before completing the sweep with an 8-2 win in the nightcap.
A sterling performance from starting pitcher Judson McKown in the opener and well-executed small ball in the finale gave Central a 4-0, 6-5 sweep of IIAC opponent Luther. McKown tallied a career-high seven strikeouts in the opener's complete-game shutout and the Dutch manufactured the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth in the finale to dispatch the Norse.
Chapman completed its second straight three-game sweep, taking both games of a SCIAC doubleheader with Caltech, 15-1 and 15-3 at Hart Park. The Panthers extended their season-best winning streak to six games heading into a showdown with first-place Whittier College next weekend. The wins, combined with another Cal Lutheran loss on Saturday assured the Panthers would at least be tied for second place in the conference standings at week's end.

Solid pitching from juniors Cody Whitley, in game one and Justin Jenkins, in game two was complimented by enough offensive support as well as exceptional defense play as the LeTourneau swept a doubleheader from Texas-Tyler, 3-0 and 4-1. Coupled with Friday night's 12-1 win, the YellowJackets sweep the area rival for the first time in program history.

Juniors Mitch Frey and Jameson Brock combined for six hits and six runs batted in during Franklin’s 10-7 win in the second game of a doubleheader split with Manchester from John P. McDowell Field. The Spartans won the opener 6-2 in HCAC action.
Visiting Salem State swept a MASCAC doubleheader against Bridgewater State at Alumni Park. Salem won the opener, 4-1, and completed the sweep with a 12-4 victory in game two. The Vikings remain atop the MASCAC standings with a perfect 6-0 league mark. Bridgewater slips 3-3 in conference play.
Behind a pair of come-from-behind victories, the 16th-ranked Concordia (Texas) claimed an ASC series with Howard Payne at Tornado Field. The Tornados won the opening contest, 8-2, and rallied for a 4-3 victory in the nightcap.
After ending up on the short end of a 1-0 pitcher's duel in the opener, Wooster bombarded Hiram with 11 extra-base hits, including four home runs, and scored a season-high 26 runs during a 26-1 rout as the teams split their NCAC East Division doubleheader.
Castleton State was beaten in walk-off fashion for the second time in two days in game one, falling 3-2 to North Atlantic Conference foe Thomas in 12 innings, but took their frustrations out on the Terriers in game two, trouncing the hosts 9-0. Castleton received a pair of stellar pitching outings out of starters Adam Greenlese and Devin Hayes. In game one, Greenlese went nine innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits and four walks. The senior struck out seven batters in the no-decision. Game two saw freshman Devin Hayes toss a gem. The first-year struck out eight Terriers over seven innings of work, allowing just two hits in the complete game shutout.
