The New England College Pilgrims swept the Terriers of Thomas College by scores of 6-1 and 14-3 in day two of the North Atlantic Conference four-game series between the two teams at the University of Rhode Island's Bill Beck Field. With the wins, In game one,NEC scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning on one hit and miscues abd Raymond Rosada did the rest in the opening win and started The Pilgrims used a 10-run third inning to fuel a sweep of the twinbill. NEC evens its record to 10-10 overall and 3-3 in NAC play.

Senior T.J. Locatelli earned his first win of the year in his first start of the season with seven and a third shutout innings as Kean topped Ramapo 4-1. In the rescheduled matchup from Thursday, Matt Krupa and Mike Fidanza led the Cougars with two hits each. Kean and Ramapo are tied fr third in the NJAC with two other programs.

Colby-Sawyer split a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader at Husson for the second straight day. Colby-Sawyer won game one 3-2, but fell in game two 5-2. Ryan Glendye went the distance on the mound for Colby-Sawyer to earn his second win. He gave up two runs on seven hits, which were all singles, and struck out two. Ryan Allender earned the game two win for the Eagles. He allowed six hts in his six innings of work before handing the ball to Dustin Smith for the save.

Case Western Reserve clinched a series win over New York University, defeating the Violets 15-4 in seven innings at MCU Park in Brooklyn, New York in the last game of the four-game weekend series. The Spartans won three of the four games against NYU. Case Western Reserve finished the game with 12 hits, while drawing nine walks and stealing six bases, en route to the win.  Each player in the team's starting nine reached base at least twice in the game.

Union held Rochester to three runs over the final two games of the regular season series between the two teams, completing its four-game sweep of the Yellowjackets with a pair of wins at Shuttleworth Park. The Dutchmen, who extend their win streak to six, notched a 2-1 win in game one and rolled to an 8-2 win in game two. In the opening game, Union starting pitcher Tim Curtis picked up his first win of the season, allowing one run on four hits while striking out five and walking three over four and two-thirds innings. Adam Ashenfab improved to 1-1 on the mound, allowing two runs (0 earned) with three strikeouts and no walks over six innings. Josh Garber was perfect in relief, tossing three shutout innings and not allowing a single hit while striking out three batters.

Strong pitching performances by Brandon Lubrano and Josh Outsen propels the St. Joseph's (L.I.) past SUNY Maritime, giving the Privateers their first two losses in conference play, in a 7-0, 7-0 Skyline Conference doubleheader sweep at Gregg Alfano Field. Lubrano earned his fourth win of the season tossing a complete game shutout and fanning nine batters and allowing five hits on the ledger. Outsen pitched his ninth complete game of his career, earning his fourth win of the season, tossing seven innings, striking eight batters, and allowing three hits in the contest.

Illinois Wesleyan again took advantage of the wind blowing out and seven Pioneers errors in a blow-out 16-0 win at Carroll in Waukesha, Wis. The three-game sweep, in which IWU outscored the Pioneers 69-20, gives Illinois Wesleyan a 13-7 overall record and a 6-1 mark in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, tied for first place with North Central. IWU set a school record yesterday for runs in a game with 30 in the opener of their doubleheader with Carroll.

A back-and-forth game went the right way in the end for Catholic as the Cardinals sent the Royals to an 11-8 loss in the final game of the three-game Landmark Conference series. The Royals trailed 4-1 after four innings, then took a 5-4 lead with a four-run fifth. Catholic came back to take a 7-5 lead with three runs of its own in the fifth. Scranton rallied again with four in the top of the seventh for an 8-7 lead, but the Cardinals had the final say with two runs in both the bottom of the seventh and the bottom of the eighth.

La Roche remained undefeated in the AMCC afte sweeping Medaille 7-2, 21-1. Garren Telesz used a 4-6-3 double play to get out of a jam in the third inning og game one and saw a Shane Roebuck 2 run homer and Mitchel Yard RBI double upped the Redahwks lead to 5-1. Joe Professori singled home Lemley and Corey Lazor in the sixth inning and La Roche went on to win 7-2. The second game was a no doubter as the Redhawks cruised to a twenty run victory. La Roche racked up twenty-three hits and Tanner Stanz improved to a perfect 4-0.

Baruch is on a four-game winning streak after sweeping associate CUNYAC member, Maine-Presque Isle in a doubleheader at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York. The Bearcats posted scores of 7-2 and 10-0 to improve to 9-10 overall. The 2017 CUNYAC standings this year will go by overall record and not head-to-head to decide the postseason seeding. In the second game, three pitchers combined to pitch an exciting one-hitter. UMPI dramatically broke up a no-hit bid with two outs in their final at-bat. Cameron Kitt got the win with a perfect five innings of no-hit ball with nine strikeouts.

Linfield secured its fourth NWC series sweep and 26th consecutive 20-win season with a doubleheader split against Whitworth at Roy Helser Field. The Wildcats took a 10-4 decision in game one before the Pirates claimed a 9-3 victory in the nightcap, which counts toward both teams' overall records but not toward conference standings. Linfield maintained a slim lead atop the league standings and captured their 21st 20-win season under longtime head coach Scott Carnahan and continued a streak that has been in place since 1992.

Alma split a doubleheader with Trine to take three of four games against the Thunder in the weekend series. Alma was topped by Trine, 3-2, in the opening game before posting an 8-3 victory in the series finale. Alma has now won five of its last six games and is currently tied for fourth in the MIAA.

Bethany rallied to defeat Saint Vincent 10-8 to win the PAC series on Sunday. Trailing 8-2 after just the second inning, the Bison bullpen shut down SVC, not allowing a run over the final seven innings, while the Bethany bats came alive to steal a win from the host Bearcats. As a team, the Bison clubbed 13 hits in the effort, including four doubles. Ryan Nickerson led the offensive charge, going 2-for-4 with three RBI followed by Alex Martin who finished 2-for-5, while also driving in three runs.

Junior third baseman Jake Williams finished the day 4-for-8 at the plate as the SUNY New Paltz split a SUNYAC doubleheader at Fredonia, winning game one 11-5 before falling in game two, 2-0. The final of the three-game series tomorrow at 12 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

Castleton was firing on all cylinders, belting five home runs and collecting 16 hits en route to a 14-6 win over Clark in a non-conference matchup at Granger Diamond. Six Spartans recorded a multi-hit game in the contest. Dylan Bailey paced the offense with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate, including three RBI and a run scored to go with his first career home run. Matt Jackson and Jonathan Lindau also recorded their first career home runs and combined for five hits, five runs scored, and four RBI. Davis Mikell drilled two home runs of his own and finished with three RBI and three runs scored.

Mitchell posted a 21-3 victory over Daniel Webster in NECC action at Alumni Field. The Mariners pounded out a season-high 23 hits en route to their ninth straight win. Kyle Hartenstein went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI and four runs scored to lead the attack. Tyler Pina also finished with four hits and recorded the 100th of his career in the first inning. Mitchell starter Eddie Santiago tossed 5.0 shutout innings and struck out six to improve to 4-1 on the season. The bullpen closed out the final four frames, with reliever Bryce Bedard pitching a hitless ninth to wrap up the win.

All nine starters had a hit as Chapman slugged its way to a 13-9 win over visiting Pacific. The Panthers won their fourth in a row to improve to 19-9 on the year. It didn't take long for either offense to get going with Pacific putting up three runs in the first and the Panthers responding with five. It was the first of two five-run innings on the day that led the Panthers to the win. Both teams sent their entire lineup to the plate in the eight-run first.

Stevenson and Lynchburg split a non-conference doubleheader at Fox Field. The Hornets posted a walkoff 10-9 win in the opener, before the Mustangs held on for an 11-9 win in the nightcap. Stevenson trailed 6-1 after two innings in game two, but scored five times in the fifth and twice in the sixth to open up an 11-6 lead.  The Hornets pulled within two with three runs in the sixth but could get no closer to win. In game one, Lynchburg did close the deal. Shawn Allen's single to center field in the final inning gave the win to the Hornets.

Joe Hanson hit two home runs to power Wisconsin Lutheran to a 9-4 victory over Dominican in the nightcap of its doubleheader. The Stars won the opening game 7-3 to earn the split in the twinbill at Boomers Stadium.

Senior Rob LaRue tied the NCAA Division III record with five doubles in a game for Keuka as the Wolves split a non-conference doubleheader against Alfred State. The Wolves won the first game 22-1 but fell in the nightcap 7-1. Game one was all about LaRue. The senior went 6-6 at the plate with a school record five doubles in the game. His five doubles was just the fourth time in Division III history that someone has hit five doubles in a game. LaRue scored three runs and drove in four for the Wolves.

Hood took two games from visiting Gallaudet, winning 11-7 and 8-0. Dylan Johnson went 5 for 8 on the day, while Cam Esposito was 4 for 7 with a double and three stolen bases.  In game two, Brad Sawyer, Paul Jackson and Riley Fitzgerald combined on a two-hit shutout. In game one, Chris Devine through 4.1 innings of one-hit relief for the win.

Sophomore Preston Amato had five hits and five RBIs in two games leading DeSales to a doubleheader split with King's winning game one, 16-6, before dropping game two, 11-8, in MAC Freedom action at Butz Field.

It was a day of late game heroics as Marietta and Baldwin Wallace split an OAC doubleheader at Fisher Field. Marietta took game one, 4-1, in 11 innings and the Yellow Jackets earned the split with a 6-2 win in the nitecap. Thr Pioneers scored three runs in the top of the eleventh inning to break a 1-1 tie and claim the first game. It was BW's turn in game two as the Yellow Jackets plated five runs in the bottom of the eighth turning a 2-1 deficit into a 6-2 lead.

Colton Hunter struck out nine in a complete-game shutout, as Southwestern trounced Dallas, 11-0, in a run-rule shortened contest to clinch the SCAC series. The Pirates posted 15 hits in only seven innings of action. Southwestern led 7-0 after sixth innings but exploded for four runs in the seventh to force the conference's run rule. Hunter (4-2) scattered six hits and walked one to collect the victory. He threw 95 pitches, including 70 strikes. Ethan Hallmark paced the offensive attack, as the junior outfielder was 4 for 5 with a home run, two doubles and an RBI. The Midlothian native also pushed his hitting streak to a team-best 16 games.

Offense was not a problem Sunday for the Depauw Tigers as they amounted 24 runs and 30 hits, taking 8-7 and 16-4 wins over Wittenberg to claim 3-of-4 games in their firs NCAC series of the year. Mike Hammel had himself a day with two home runs in game one and capped his day with a grand slam in the eighth of game two. He fell a double short of hitting for the cycle in game one and had the game-winning sacrifice fly in the ninth. Combined he finished 6-of-9 with 3 HR, 9 RBI and five runs scored.
