    Stockton upset Rowan on Sunday but they were just one of two past National Champions they defeated this weekend, having defeated William Paterson on Saturday. Up in New England, Norwich got their first win over Johnston & Wales in seven years.

    Benedictine (7-0) and Kalamazoo (8-0) stayed perfect through games on Saturday. Benedictine did it with a 6-2 win over Hope and Kalamazoo swept a pail in Jacksonville, Illinois. Other teams who have played a minimum of five games and are still without a loss include No. 2 Endicott (6-0), Johnston and Wales (5-0) and Whitworth (10-0).

    Centre defeated Berry and set their program record for wins with their 23rd win, besting the mark set 18 years earlier. A Johnson and Wales grand slam was part of a seven run ninth to walk off on Mass-Dartmouth.

    In 2000 the current group of Johnson & Wales freshmen had just been born. That was also John LaRose's first year as head coach of the Wildcat. Johnson & Wales defeated Bridgewater State, 11-2, to give coach LaRose his 400th career victory.

    The Johnson & Wales University baseball squad a non-conference doubleheader with intra-state rival Salve Regina at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex on Thursday afternoon. Salve Regina posted an 8-2 win in the opener and completed the sweep with a 7-2 victory in the nightcap.

    Sophomore Ty Karalis (Pawtucket, R.I.) laid down a perfect bunt to score fellow sophomore Brad McParlin (Pawtucket, R.I.) with the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th to lead the Johnson & Wales University baseball team to a thrilling 1-0 victory against Norwich in the first game of a Great Northeast Athletic Conference double header at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex on Saturday afternoon. The second game of the double header was postponed due to rain and will be made up at a later date.
