    JERSEY CITY, N.J. — For the first time since since April 23, 1989, when Jersey City State College swept Trenton State College in a doubleheader, the New Jersey City University baseball team split a home twin bill with The College of New Jersey on Sunday, April 2, to start New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play with a victory — it is NJCU's first win in its NJAC opener since 2018. Additionally, graduate student first baseman Ricky Voss (Eatontown, N.J./Monmouth Regional) blasted his first home run of the season in game one, giving him 18 for his career, which ties the all-time mark, set back in 1988 by Hall of Famer Rich Levens.

    WAYNE, N.J. — The New Jersey City University baseball team wrapped up its 2022 season with a doubleheader against New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) rival William Paterson University today, Saturday, April 30. In game one, the squad defeated the Pioneers for the first time since 2015 by a final score of 10-8. Similar to game two, NJCU got on the board first in the high-scoring affair but it was not enough as WPU held on for the 15-10 win.

    JERSEY CITY, N.J. — For the first time since 2018, the New Jersey City University baseball team swept a two-game series against a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) competitor. Jersey City defeated the Roadrunners of Ramapo College in both games today, April 23, by final scores of 7-6 and 12-7, respectively. This was also the first time in program history that NJCU defeated Ramapo twice in one season.

The game was officially called due to darkness in the eighth inning, as the Gothic Knights scored the most runs as a program in a single game in seven years, dating back to when they defeated Principia College, 25-16, on March 10, 2015, in Winter Haven, Fla.

    PURCHASE N.Y. — The New Jersey City University baseball team's bats exploded once again, today, Saturday, March 19, and the team moved to .500 on the season for the first time after defeating the Manhattanville College Valiants 13-4. This was the fourth time in the last five games that the Jersey City sluggers scored 10 or more runs, including dropping 20 runs yesterday. Continuing the strong to his NJCU career, freshman Matt Kaliske (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Township) finished the day with three hits and two RBI. Following his three-hit performance yesterday, senior Ricky Voss (Eatontown, N.J./Monmouth Regional) captured went 4-for-4 today, adding four RBI and scoring four runs.

Gerrity Athletic Complex for the 2022 season. NJCU defeated St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn, 20-5, the most runs scored by Jersey City in nearly five years, dating back to when the squad scored 21 runs in a win at Mount Saint Mary College on March 30, 2017.

On what would normally be a balmy late-February day, the Gothic Knights' bats came alive on a gorgeous afternoon of perfect baseball weather, and some late-inning pitching closed the door on the Highlanders for the NJCU win.

Senior Mike Albunia (Jersey City, NJ/Hudson Catholic) pulled off the elusive defensive cycle, playing all nine positions during a nine-inning game. And two Gothic Knights homered. NJCU wrapped up its 2019 season, defeating a very good New York University squad, 12-3, on May 3 at the Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex.

No worries, because Palmisano picked the opportune time to break out. The rookie catcher blasted a two-run homer to tie the game at 6-6, then scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the 13th on an RBI single from senior center fielder Jesse Kraft as NJCU claimed a resilient 7-6 win over RU-Camden in 13 innings in game two of a New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader on April 6 at the Thomas M.
