    Good news for Eastern Connecticut State comes this year. They have a Championship in each city that has hosted and this year the East Lake era begins. The usual suspects lurk in Southern Maine and UMass-Boston and a Johnny-come-lately in Rhode Island. Last year Endicott made the final eight and have a team that is able and ready to repeat.

    Rhode Island College has named Cody Kauffman as its new head baseball coach. Kauffman enters his first season as head coach at Rhode Island College after a brief stint as an assistant coach at UMass Lowell and two years as the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator at Franklin Pierce.

    Four players heard their name in the second day of the MLB amateur draft. Kiefer Lord, Jonah Advincula, Charlie Szykowny and Andrew Sears were drafted off scholarship teams in 2023. Jackson Hornung and Hayden Snelsire were selected on the final day of the MLB draft.

Holbrook spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach with the Wheaton College baseball program from 2014-2018 where he was responsible for the development of all pitchers on the staff and served as the program's recruiting coordinator

The loss eliminated RIC (17-19) from the tournament and wrapped up the 2017 campaign for the Anchormen.
