The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its inaugural season of recognizing the top performance at each of thirteen positions from the previous week. This is the fifth Team of the Week of the 2012 season.

C Robert Williams, Sr., Macalester
Williams went 8-for-11 (.727) with a 1.273 slugging percentage to lead Macalester to doubleheader sweeps over Northwestern-Roseville and St. Olaf. In Macalester's sweep over the Oles in their MIAC opener, Williams homered in each game and was 5-for-6 with five RBI and five runs scored.
1B Colin McCarthy, Fr., Catholic
McCarthy had a monster week at the dish, going 7 for 11 (.636) with four runs scored, a double, a home run, 10 runs batted in and a 1.000 slugging percentage. On Sunday, McCarthy went 3 for 4 with five runs batted in, in addition to his first collegiate home run in Catholic's 15-10 come-from-behind win.
2B Tim Clark, Jr., Western New Eng.
Clark was named the CCC Player-of-the-Week after leading the Golden Bears to an 8-0 week by batting .625, compiling six multi-hit outings in the process. He collected a double, triple, and five walks during the week and handled 39 chances (23 assists) without making an error.
SS Dan Fiorito, Sr., Manhattanville
Fiorito, the Freedom Conference Player of the Week, hit .611 for Manhattanville against William Paterson and Wilkes. He hit five home runs off of five different pitchers while driving in eight RBIs and scoring 12 runs himself.
3B Brad Kremer, So., Defiance
Kremer, the HCAC Hitter of the Week, posted a 1.731 OPS over four games to fuel the Yellow Jacket attack. Kremer accomplished the cycle on Sunday, collecting a home run, triple, double and single in succession over his final four trips to the plate. The Ohio native ended the week with a .571 batting average.
OF Erik Bergstrom, Sr., Keene State
Bergstrom powered Keene State to 4-0 mark this past week with a .529 batting average (9-for-17) and 13 runs batted in. He had multiple hits games in all four of this starts last week.
OF Jack Cinoman, Jr., Chicago
Cinoman batted .636 (7-for-11) with a 1.091 slugging percentage as the Maroons won two of three games. He was 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs in a 6-4 loss to Wheaton (Ill.) before going 4-for-7 in a doubleheader sweep of Rochester.
OF Kyle Lavigne, Sr., RPI
Lavigne batted .647 (11-for-17), scored eight and drove in 12 as RPI went 3-1 over the weekend. He tied school record for home runs in a game with two in a 10-2 win over Clarkson.
DH Adam Derner, Sr., William Paterson
Derner batted .571 (8-for-14)with a .929 slugging percentage. He had two doubles, one home run and seven RBIs for the Pioneers.
SP Greg Goldsmith, Jr., Christopher Newport
Goldsmith hurled the first one-hitter in almost 20 years at CNU, and fourth in school history. His complete game shutout of the Cougars came with six strikeouts and three walks, while allowing just one single in the third inning.
SP Eddie Nogat, So., Washington and Jefferson
Nogay earned the PAC Pitcher of the Week Award after a pair of solid performances on the mound. Nogay tossed a one-hit shutout, against Geneva, leading the Presidents to a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. He received a no-decision in W&J’s 3-2 victory over Saint Vincent on Sunday, allowing a pair of runs on seven hits in 6.2 innings, ending a string of 23.1 innings without an earned run.
SP Ryan Schwenn, Sr., Whittier
Schwenn pitched the first no-hitter in 24 years in Whittier history, en route to a 4-0 upset win over No. 25 La Verne. Schwenn leads the SCIAC in wins.
RP Brandon Winfield, So., Marian
Winfield went 1-0 with two saves in three appearances for the Sabres last week. He earned a two-inning save against Lawrence before closing the door on Wisconsin Lutheran in a 3-2 win Saturday. On Sunday, he stopped shut down Lakeland to earn the win.
