The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its fifth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the third Team of the Week of the 2016 season.

C Collin Thompson, Fr., Oswego St.
Thompson batted .600 (6-for-10) as the Lakers won their first four games of the season. He scored four runs and drove in four with two doubles. He was perfect behind the plate, with 25 chances without an error.
1B Daniel Watson, So., Case Western Reserve
Watson helped lead the Spartans to three wins in four games last weekend. Watson hit .647 (11-for-17) with two home runs, eight runs scored, eight runs batted in and eight stolen bases on nine attempts, while slugging 1.000 with a .667 on base percentage.
2B Korie Vire, Sr., Spalding
Vire helped Spalding go 2-2 on their opening weekend, including a 13-4 win over No. 19 Baldwin Wallace. For the week, Vire hit at a .611 clip (11-for-18), with a .632 on base percentage, while driving in six RBIs and scoring four runs. Vire also was a perfect 6-for-6 on stolen bases, and earned a save in the Golden Eagles 6-3 win over Wheaton (Ill.).
SS Mike Powers, Jr., Worcester St.
Powers went 4-for-5 (.800) against Nichols on Sunday as he collected a three-run home run for three RBI, a double and two runs in the 9-5 win. On the field, Powers registered two putouts and five assists for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
3B Jacob Yamane, Jr., Whitworth
Yamane helped lead the Pirates in a weekend sweep of Whitman, going 5-for-13 (.385) at the plate with six RBI and four runs scored. He also walked twice and was hit by a pitch, posting an on-base percentage of .500.
OF Tom Gibbons, Jr., King's (Pa.)
Gibbons, the Monarchs' leadoff hitter, batted .857 (6-for-7) in a 2-0 week for King's. He finished the week with a double, triple, two RBIs and three runs scored.
OF Jake Raynaud, Jr., Whittier
Raynaud batted .688 (11-for-16) with three doubles as the Poets went 2-2 on the week. He drove in 11 runs and scored seven.
OF Andrew Waters, Sr., Trinity (Tex.)
Waters led Trinity to a 4-0 overall week that finished with a three-game sweep of Austin on Friday and Saturday. Waters hit a blistering .833 (10-for-12) in the three games against Austin, collecting four doubles, two triples, and two home runs among his 10 hits. He also scored six runs and added eight RBI, posting an astronomical 2.000 slugging percentage for the weekend.
DH Brandon Ginch, So., Christopher Newport
In three games this week, the Captains' designated hitter showed off an impressive eye at the plate, earning five walks, two hit-by-pitches and three hits (3-for-5). The CNU sophomore reached base 10 times in 12 plate appearances, posting a .833 on-base percentage. He also slugged 1.400 as two of his three hits went for extra bases; he had an RBI double and a solo home run against Susquehanna. He also scored five times and picked up one stolen base.
SP Seth Debity, Sr., Maryville (Tenn.)
Debity earned a complete game sutout win over Piedmont in the USA South opener for both teams. Debity allowed two hits and a walk, striking out 11.
SP Craig Frobel, Sr., Western Connecticut State
Frobel tosses a seven inning no-hitter on Sunday, defeating Marymount 1-0, striking out seven batters. The only base runner Frobel allowed was a walk in the six inning.
SP Andrew Stull, Sr., Rose-Hulman
Stull tossed a nine-inning no-hitter to lift Rose-Hulman past Ohio Northern 7-0 in the team's season opening doubleheader on Feb. 28. Stull faced the minimum 27 batters, erasing the only baserunner (error) with a double play. Stull walked none, allowed no hits and struck out seven in a 73-pitch performance.
RP David Stover, So., Marietta
Stover threw 7.1 innings of two-hit, shutout relief picking up two wins, limiting opponents to a .083 batting average against. He worked 3.1 innings in win over Lynchburg and 4.0 innings in win over Neumann.
