With both teams on the brink of their respective conference tournaments, the head coaches knew it might be best to save some arms and pitch by committee. Concordia (Wisc.) used six pitchers and the Warhawks used five, but both staffs were solid, allowing just four hits to each team. The Warhawks scored three runs in the third and that was the difference as UW-W went on to defeat CUW 3-0 Monday at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Stevens wrapped up its regular season with a sweep at Lehman in a CUNYAC doubleheader, 8-2, 7-2. Stevens heads into the CUNYAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Ducks will host a first round game on Wednesday against an opponent still to be determined at this time.

Behind a complete-game performance by junior pitcher Blake Stevens, No. 15 Birmingham-Southern took game one of the SAA Championship title series against No. 26 Rhodes, 6-1, Monday night at Striplin Field. The winner of a best -of-three series will win the tournament title.

Hamline clinched its second straight winning season with an impressive 14-1 win over Luther in Decorah, Iowa. Cam Smith went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and six RBI,  and Jacob Picht and Pat Page had three hits each as the Pipers improved to 17-15 with one game remaining on the 2014 slate. Michael Robohm pitched a complete game seven-hitter, walking two and recording three strikeouts to earn the victory.

St. Scholastica earned the regular season UMAC championship for the 18th straight year.

The St. Scholastica Saints completed a three game sweep of the Northland Jacks with a 4-3 win in Ashlawn, Wisc. This was the last game of the season for both teams.

Tripleheaders are a UMAC staple and 2014 was no different. Minnesota-Morris avoided a tripleheader sweep with a 5-4 win over Bethany Lutheran. The Vikings claimed the first two games by scores of 5-0 and 2-1.

No. 12-ranked St. Thomas reached 30 wins on the season and pushed its home-field win streak to 54 with a 14-2 home win over Northwestern-St. Paul. Tyler Peterson had five RBI in the third inning with a three-run homer and a two-run double as UST sent 14 to the plate in a nine-run uprising.

UW-Platteville ended their season on a five-game winning streak after a doubleheader sweep of Marian. After winning the first game 5-2, the Pioneers won a nail-biter in the nightcap, winning 2-1. Both games were scheduled for seven innings.

Springfield was led by the bats of Keith Cotnoir (Westhampton, Mass.), Jared Hopkins (Cranston, R.I.) and Shane O'Leary (Kings Park, N.Y.) in the win. Cotnoir drove in three runs while Hopkins and O'Leary drove in two each. Frank Calabrese (East Longmeadow, Mass.) and Steve Starr (Lebanon, Conn.) each tallied two hits.

Tyler Kelly (Absecon, N.J.) earned the win on the mound in his first collegiate start for the Pride. Kelly went five innings, allowing three hits and just one run while striking out four.
