Schmitt earned first team ODAC honors as a designated hitter but played some games as a first baseman. In the clinching game with Adrian, he scored three times on a pair of hits and a walk.

Slevin led the ODAC with a program-record 11 overall saves and five in conference contests. Those 11 saves are the second-highest total in the nation, one behings the leader and one ahead of Salve Regina's closer. He is already tied for second all-time in saves and just two sav es away from the career program record (13)

Scouting report

  • Randolph-Macon is one of two ODAC teams to be in this year's field of eight. The Yellow Jackets are making their second trip with their first being in 2018 when they finished third.
  • RMC's head coach, Ray Hedrick, is in hs 20th season for the Yellow Jackets and won the ODAC regular-season title five times. In his career he has won 490 games with 197 coming in just the last seven years.
  • Six players earned All-ODAC honors with four underclassmen, a junior and a senior.
  • Randolph-Macon has the second worse pitching staff, statistically, as they are marginally better by the statistical yardstick than Lynchburg.
