NEW LONDON, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team suffered a setback to the Bears of Coast Guard Academy on Wednesday afternoon, falling by a final score of 12-1. Sean Jefferson (West Haven, Conn.) tallied the lone RBI for the Falcons, lofting a sacrifice fly into center field to score Joe Matthews (Anaheim, Calif.) from third in the eighth inning.
With a top 10 defense, Elms has rolled out to a 17-2 record following a sweep of Albertus Magnus on Wednesday. Grove City, also with a 20 point improvement in their fielding percentage, is off to their best start since 2007 after a win over NAIA Warner.
