Nick Choate pitched a complete game no-hitter for Anna Maria on Saturday. On the same day Jack Marzec became the first AMCAT pitcher to cross the 300 strike-out barrier and head coach Dan Briand earned his 100th win since taking over the AMCATS .
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has its first repeat Div. III winner of the year, as Anna Maria College’s Nick Choate is the Rookie of the Week for the second time in the last four weeks. A perfect game and a seven-homer week captured the other Div. III honors for games played April 25 – May 1.
