    In the final of a three game set between previous World Series champions, Chapman (2003, 19) salvaged one win of the series with a 10-3 victory over Cortland (2015). Rowan (1978, 79) also won a clash of past champions with Southern Maine (1991, 97). ECSU (1982, 90, 98, 2002, 22) was a 2-1 winner over Marietta (1981, 83, 86,2006, 11, 12)

    Claremont-Mudd-Scripts took two from No. 7 Chapman but hey were just one of five teams that defeated Top 10 teams on Sunday. Babson, Christopher Newport, Rose-Hulman, Washington and Jefferson were the others with wins against the Top 10 team in the nation.

    Sophomore Grant Manning went the distance and the bats rallied late- as the Chapman University baseball team clinched its third consecutive SCIAC Postseason Tournament title with an 8-2 victory over Cal Lutheran. The 2019 NCAA Division III champions are back in the national tournament to defend their title.
