Gottesman heads list of 13 players drafted
July 14, 2025On Day two of the MLB Amateur Draft, Endicott graduate Jordan Gottesman was chosen by the San Francisco Giants as the first DIII player drafted. Gottesman was one of 13 players selected in the two day event. -

Three honored by NCBWA this week
April 30, 2025Performances that saw a .727 on-base percentage, a program record 19 strikeouts and three homers to set a program single season record captured the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Div. III honors for the week of April 21-27. A no-hitter and a three-homer game captured the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Div. III honors for the week of March 31-April 6 with one player winning two awards on the same week for the first time in the history of the awards.

Misla sets program record for Cortland
April 25, 2025Luis Misla took a no-hitter into the ninth inning, setting a game record for strikeouts (19) in a Friday sweep of Plattsburgh. Also making history were the Gothic Knights who swept William Paterson for the first time.

Trinity evens series with Cortland in Sunday action
March 16, 2025Weather played havoc with some schedules but it did not slow down a marquee series in San Antonio, Texas. Trinity won on Sunday to split the four game set 2-2. After this weeks action, the only undefeated teams (5 game or more) are Bowdoin, Gettysburg and UW-Whitewater.

Rhode Island College caps southern trip with blowout
March 13, 2025Rhode Island College was clicking on all cylinders with a 28-1 win on Thursday. Lakeland did almost as good with a 27 run outing. In a top 25 match-up, No. 24 Cortland defeated No. 7 Trinity in the first of a four game set.

Raptors upset Red Dragons on Sunday
March 09, 2025Cortland finished a 0-3 weekend as Rutgers Camden upset the red Dragons on Sunday 13-8. In Top 25 contests, No. 3 Johns Hopkins No 14 Pomona Pitzer and No. 23 Case Western were winners. No. 25 Centre finished a sweep of No.13 Rhodes.

March 08, 2025Strong pitching carried Berry to a 10-2 win over Marietta on Saturday. In Top 25 matches, Penn State-Harrisburg defeated Christopher Newport and Johns Hopkins swept a twin bill with Cortland.

March 16, 2024In the final of a three game set between previous World Series champions, Chapman (2003, 19) salvaged one win of the series with a 10-3 victory over Cortland (2015). Rowan (1978, 79) also won a clash of past champions with Southern Maine (1991, 97). ECSU (1982, 90, 98, 2002, 22) was a 2-1 winner over Marietta (1981, 83, 86,2006, 11, 12)

A wild Saturday
February 24, 2024It is why we play the game. Wild pitches were a factor in two extra-inning games as Arcadia used one to upset Baldwin Wallace and Cortland needed two to walk-off in a contest with Lynchburg. Out in Texas, Trinity (Texas) found 10 eighth inning runs to shock Babson.

April 28, 2023PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Adam Mieczkowski (Vestal) homered twice and tripled in the opener and homered again in the nightcap as the Cortland baseball team clinched the SUNYAC regular-season title with a sweep at Plattsburgh. The Red Dragons (26-9, 16-2 SUNYAC) won the first game, 15-2 in seven innings, and the second game, 6-2. With the league regular-season crown, Cortland has earned the right to host the four-team SUNYAC postseason tournament May 11-14.

Brockport won the second game, 3-2, to snap Cortland's 18-game winning streak.

Cortland Extends Win Streak to 17 Games with Sweep of Oneonta
April 15, 2023CORTLAND, N.Y. – Will McCarthy (Farmingdale) tossed an eight-hit shutout as the Cortland baseball team defeated Oneonta, 5-0, to complete a doubleheader sweep of the visiting Red Dragons. Cortland won the opener, 13-2 in seven innings, despite trailing 2-0 after four innings. Cortland extended its winning streak to 17 games and is now 22-7 overall and 12-0 in the SUNYAC. Oneonta fell to 19-9 overall and 5-4 in the league.
