April 20, 2024 ....and good hitting beats good pitching Several offenses were smokin' on Saturday. Chatham and MUW both scored 36 runs whil Misericordia scored 37. Penn State Behrend had the most runs in a game (24) as they scored 33 on the day. Rutgers-Newark and Montclair State both scored 30+ as they split their doubleheader. Six other teams with 30 + runs scored.
March 28, 2024 Hampden-Sydney upsets Lynchburg in Thursday's action All season, Lynchburg has a target on their back as defending National Champions. Today it was Hampden-Sydney who won a close 3-2 win over the Hornets. Elsewhere Immaculata saw Joey Sacco and teammate Josh Crowding reach the 200 hit mark in a sweep of Centenary.
May 7, 2023 #5 Seed Hampden-Sydney Falls At #4 Seed & 14th-Ranked Randolph-Macon 9-8 In Game Two Of ODAC Tournament Quarterfinal Series Junior Trent Jones (Virginia Beach) and sophomore Grayson Harris (Moseley) each hit solo home runs, while sophomore Christian Lancaster (Danville) had three RBIs, but Hampden-Sydney College dropped a season-ending 9-8 decision on the road at archrival and nationally-ranked No. 14 Randolph-Macon College in the 2023 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Baseball Tournament Quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon in Ashland. Senior Justin Woodall (Mechanicsville) took the pitching setback for the visiting #5 seed Tigers (20-19) against the host #4 seed Yellow Jackets (31-11). The Garnet & Grey fell just short after rallying from a 9-1 deficit with seven runs during their final two at-bats.

Senior Owen Tappy (Charlotte, NC) took the tough-luck pitching setback for the visiting #5 seed Tigers (20-18) against the host #4 seed Yellow Jackets (30-11). It was a classic old-fashioned pitcher's duel between the two rival programs.
May 1, 2023 Hampden-Sydney Splits Doubleheader At Bridgewater; Winning Nightcap 14-9 After Dropping Opener 5-1 Senior captain Ryan Boyce (Suffolk) and junior Lucas Burnette (Hurt) each hit home runs with four RBIs each, as well, in game two, as Hampden-Sydney College split an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball doubleheader on the road at Bridgewater College to complete the regular season on Monday in Bridgewater. Senior Owen Tappy (Charlotte, NC) gained the pitching win in relief during the 14-9 triumph in the nightcap, while freshman Jake Williams (Chesapeake) took the mound setback in the 5-1 opener for the visiting Tigers (20-17, 13-9) against the host Eagles (16-24, 9-13). It's the second consecutive 20-win season for H-SC, and the 12th under the direction of 20th-year head coach Jeff Kinne (401-351-6, 206-163-1).
April 25, 2023 Hampden-Sydney Falls To Nationally-Ranked No. 6 Lynchburg 11-0 Senior captain Jay Beavers (Alexandria) collected two hits, but Hampden-Sydney College dropped an 11-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball decision at home to nationally-ranked No. 6 the University of Lynchburg on Tuesday afternoon on Yank Bernier Field at the Ty Cobb Ballpark – Wurdeman Stadium. Freshman Sterling Austin (Petersburg) took the pitching setback for the host Tigers (19-16, 12-8) against the visiting Hornets (30-5, 17-3).
