April 3, 2024 Mercy sakes alive A coach said one time he wanted, "Thanks for the mercy rule" on his tombstone. This rule saves a lot of arms and was hit in the two MIAA contests that could be played on Wednesday. Adrian and Olivet both run-ruled their opposition shortening a nine inning game to seven.
September 19, 2022 Mendez promoted to head coach at Olivet After conducting a national search, Olivet school officials found a familiar face to lead the baseball program. An assistant coach for the last three seasons, Santiago Mendez has been promoted to head coach.
April 21, 2021 Kalamazoo sweeps on Wednesday Kalamazoo swept Olivet to move to 6-6 and into fourth place in the MIAA. Down south, William Peace upended No. 9 N.C. Wesleyan.
March 27, 2017 McDaniel rolls, Olivet stops loss string On a light schedule, McDaniel outscore everyone with a 22 hit, 22 run attack but the surprise of the day belonged to Olivet. The Comets saw a 46 game losing streak to Adrian come to an end with a 4-2 victory in the final of a four game set this weekend.
July 12, 2016 Merchant returns to Olivet Andy Merchant was announced by school officials as Olivet's new head coach. He returns to Olivet where was an assistant coach after three years as the head coach of Lansing Community College.
April 4, 2016 Makeup Monday Olivet and Heidelberg were just a few teams that found themselves playing conference foes on Monday instead of the weekend. Weather continued to keep teams off the diamond but not in the CAC where No. 12 Salisbury split with Mary Washington.
