Augustana earned a statement victory on Saturday in game one of the Augustana Invitational, defeating the visiting Buena Vista Beavers in eight innings by a score of 14-4. Alec McGinnis hit for the cycle in the win.
No. 1 seeded Augustana completed their title quest with a 6-5 winner-take-all victory over the No. 5 seeded Illinois Wesleyan Titans on Saturday, securing their second CCIW Tournament championship in as many years.
