• Lakeland hires Post to lead program

    Lakeland promoted Kevin Post to the position of head baseball coach. Post moves up to the head spot after two-plus years as an assistant with the program. He joined the Muskies in 2021 first as a volunteer assistant coach, then as a part-time assistant and was most recently hired as the team's full-time assistant coach.

    Crown school officials are thrilled to announce the hiring of Brooks Repking as head baseball coach. Repking has served as Crown's associate head coach the past two seasons, helping Crown baseball set many firsts for the program.

    A year ago a dozen games got played and nearly a year to the day, it happened again. Rain wiped out most games on Thursday with Elmhurst and Lakeland earning sweeps and Concordia (Wis.) and St.Olaf getting single wins in the only games played.

    The Lakeland College baseball team lost their final two games of the 2012 season to Northern Athletics Conference foe Edgewood College on Saturday. The Muskies (17-21, 7-15 NAC) continued to struggle on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, losing game one, 3-0, and game two, 8-3.

    The Lakeland College baseball team snapped an eight game losing streak with a split against the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sunday afternoon. The Muskies (17-19, 7-13 NAC) put on a hitting clinic in game one, scoring 12 runs on a season-high 23 hits in the 12-7 win. However, the offense went silent in game two, scoring just three runs in the 6-3 loss.

    The Lakeland College baseball team saw its chances at the Northern Athletics Conference tournament berth take a serious blow with two losses to Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill., on Saturday. The Muskies (16-18, 6-12 NAC) rally wasn't enough in game one, losing 8-7 on a ninth inning walk-off sacrifice fly, before losing in 5-4 in game two.

    The Lakeland College baseball team lost its sixth consecutive game on Sunday after being swept by Northern Athletics Conference foe Rockford College. The Muskies (16-16, 6-10 NAC) continue to beat themselves and are lacking that big hit, losing game one 7-3 and game two, 11-5.

    The Lakeland College baseball team lost both games of the doubleheader against Northern Athletics Conference foe Rockford College on Saturday afternoon. The Muskies (16-14, 6-8 NAC) got just five hits in the two games against the Regents, losing game one 3-0 and falling in game two, 2-0.

    The Lakeland College baseball team split a hard fought doubleheader with nonconference foe Ripon College on Wednesday afternoon. The Muskies (13-10) got off to a slow start, losing game one 7-0, however, game two was a different story as Lakeland put up six runs to win 6-5. The victory was Lakeland's first in 10 tries against the Red Hawks.

The Muskies (1-8, 2-4 NAC) produced little offense against the Spartans, who tallied 31 hits in back-to-back routs of Lakeland.

The Muskies (11-4, 2-0 NAC) scored 22 runs on 25 hits in the two games, winning game one, 10-0, in seven innings before taking game two, 12-2, also in seven innings.

The Muskies got off to a strong start, taking game one 6-2, behind senior Mike Ruzek, however, the bats fell silent in game two, a 5-2 loss.

The Muskies (2-0) won game one, 13-2, and game two, 5-2. The Muskies picked up where they left off last season, with strong pitching, solid defense, and more than enough offense.
