    Wash U got a win behind a gem on the mound from junior Sebastian Guzman but this was not the only outstanding pitching performance on Friday. Baruch, Dallas, Dubuque, Hood, Immaculata, RPI, Rowan and Simpson all pitched shutouts.

    Kean and NJCU got good pitching to open this weekend's slate of game on Thursday. Rowan and Stockton needed to rally for their wins and Rutgers-Newark cruised over William Paterson. WPI and Roger Williams became the 12th and 13th team to earn a tie this D3 baseball season.

    Stockton upset Rowan on Sunday but they were just one of two past National Champions they defeated this weekend, having defeated William Paterson on Saturday. Up in New England, Norwich got their first win over Johnston & Wales in seven years.

    Rowan rolled past Haverford on Tuesday and Johns Hopkins beat two of the top three teams in Wisconsin, shutting out both UW-La Crosse and UW-Stevens Point. The UWSP Pointers got a statement win with the newly minted no. 1 team, giving Endicott their first loss of the season.

    In the final of a three game set between previous World Series champions, Chapman (2003, 19) salvaged one win of the series with a 10-3 victory over Cortland (2015). Rowan (1978, 79) also won a clash of past champions with Southern Maine (1991, 97). ECSU (1982, 90, 98, 2002, 22) was a 2-1 winner over Marietta (1981, 83, 86,2006, 11, 12)

    AMBLER, PA – Senior Mike Shannon earned the victory and Dylan Maria drove in two runs to help No. 23 Rowan to the championship in the NCAA Ambler Regional today at Arcadia's Skip Wilson Field. It marks the third consecutive Regional title for the Profs as they will move on to face No. 3 Salisbury in next weekend's NCAA Super Regional, with more information to come.

    AMBLER, PA – Jason O'Neill threw a complete-game shutout and Ryan Murphy drove in five runs as the #23 Rowan baseball team remained unbeaten at the NCAA Ambler Regional, defeating Susquehanna, 20-0, in a game played in a steady rain at Arcadia's Skip Wilson Field. Rowan (32-13) will play in the regional final on Sunday at 11 a.m., facing the winner of the SUNY Brockport-Susquehanna game, with the Profs only needing one win to advance to the Super Regional.

    UNION, NJ - Zach Grace struck out a career-high 14 batters and threw his second complete game shutout of the season and Pat Defeciani hit a grand slam as #19 Rowan rolled to an 11-0 win over William Paterson in the NJAC Baseball Championship at Kean University. The Profs (30-11) remain in the winners bracket and will play TCNJ on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.

    LASSBORO, NJ – Jason O'Neill pitched seven scoreless innings and Dylan Maria drove in two runs and recorded a save as top-seeded Rowan defeated sixth-seeded Stockton, 3-1, in the opening round of the NJAC Baseball Championship, held at the Rowan Baseball Field. The double-elimination tournament moves to Kean on the weekend with the Profs (29-11) facing either Montclair State or William Paterson at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

    Kean extended their NJAC lead on Thursday with a 14-3 win over NJCU. Rowan kept pace, 1.5 games back with a win of their own. In Virginia it was Mary Washington adding to their at-large playoff resume with a win over ranked Randolph Macon

    EWING, NJ – Anthony Schooley went 4-for-5 and scored three runs, and Dylan Maria hit two home runs, as #17 Rowan used a 10-run third inning to earn a 14-11 win at TCNJ. It marks the Profs' fifth straight conference win as they improve to 5-2 in the league and 19-7 overall.

    We continue to play the greatest hits as it was Haverford who set a runs record in a 33-8 win over Washington College. Also in Pennsylvania, Penn State-Harrisburg extended their win streak to 15 game with a win over No, 17 Rowan.

    GLASSBORO, NJ – Zach Grace threw a complete-game shutout in the first game and Jake Reese had seven strong innings in the second as #19 Rowan swept #21 Montclair State (15-8; 2-4) in an NJAC doubleheader by scores of 6-0 and 14-1. Second baseman Tyler Cannon was among those who paced the offense as he went 5-for-7 in the doubleheader, with five runs and four RBI, as Rowan won its fifth straight game on the week to improve to 18-6 and 4-2 in the conference.  
  • No. 19 Rowan Rallies from Nine Runs Down for 14-12 Win over Gwynedd Mercy

    GLASSBORO, NJ – No. 19 Rowan rallied from a nine-run deficit by scoring eight runs in the eighth inning to earn a 14-12 win over Gwynedd Mercy in non-league baseball action. Tyler Cannon and Anthony Schooley each had doubles in the eighth that drove in the go-ahead runs as the Profs ended a three-game losing streak.

    GLASSBORO, NJ – Anthony Schooley drove in a career-high five runs and Karson Harcourt had three RBI as #10 Rowan (13-3) won its eighth straight, defeating visiting Swarthmore, 15-2, in non-league baseball action. Righthander Matt Choi earned the win in six innings of work.

    On Monday, the top teams knew how to win. UW-Stevens Point slugged their was to a sweep, Rowan shutout Penn State Abington, and Catholic walked it off. Three different ways to win but the result was the same with the ranked team coming out on top.

    ABINGTON, PA – The 11th-ranked Rowan baseball team defeated Penn State-Abington, 16-0, in a game that was shortened to five innings because of rain. Catcher Brian Gallante went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, with Chris Curcio going 2-for-2 and driving in four runs as the Profs (12-3) picked up their seventh straight win.

    DAVENPORT, FL – Tyler Cannon went 4-for-4 and Jason O’Neill struck out eight as the 11th-ranked Rowan baseball team rolled to an 11-1 win over Rogers Williams at the RussMatt Invitational, in a game shortened to seven innings because of the 10-run margin. Rowan improves to 7-3 with its second straight win.

    You cannot win forever but it seemed like Eastern Connecticut would. Their 28 game win streak, dating back to last season, was halted by Mary Washington on Monday.. ECSU was not the only Top 5 team to fall as Salisbury and Rowan were dealt setbacks on the day.

    Marietta cruised to a World Series ticket but No. 1 ECSU needed 13 innings to send Rowan home. Catholic won twice to advance to its first World Series berth and Salisbury slugged its way past Wooster who earlier forced a third game.

    ANNVILLE, PA – Michael Miles threw a three-hit complete-game shutout as #10 Rowan defeated #24 Washington & Jefferson, 9-0, to win the NCAA Baseball Annville Regional at Lebanon Valley's McGill Field. Rowan advances to next weekend's Super Regionals and will await the outcome of the Rochester Regional, with the championship between #1 Eastern Connecticut and Middlebury. The site for the regional will be announced later this evening.
