They were not the only team to save their season with an extra inning win. John Jay needed an extra inning to advance to play CCNY in the CUNYAC finals.

Fourth-seeded Bridgewater State, Lewis & Clark, Susquehanna and TCNJ earned wins on the opening day of the NCAA Playoffs.

May 17, 2019 Burman Hits Go-Ahead Double, Susquehanna Downs No. 8 TCNJ in NCAA Tournament Opener Alex Burman hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the ninth inning and Will Carey closed out an instant classic and the Susquehanna University Baseball defeated TCNJ to kick off regional play in Baltimore. The Lions (31-10) are ranked No. 8 in the latest d3baseball.com national rankings. The victory puts the team in the winners bracket and the River Hawks (24-16) will face the winner of Johns Hopkins.
