March 6, 2025 Big innings give ODAC teams wins on Thursday Ferrum scored six and eight runs in the the first innings of their doubleheader with Wilson and cruised to a sweep on the day. Roanoke also used a big fifth to down ranked Christopher Newport and Hampden-Sydney just out hit Mary Baldwin in a run ruled win.
March 27, 2024 Charon, Maher, Middlebrooks honored with weekly NCBWA honors For the first time this season, a player with a cycle was chosen for the NCBWA Div. III Hitter of the Week, while one of last week’s two nine-inning no-hitters garnered the Pitcher of the Week award. A .625 average with 11 RBI and six steals rounded out the honors for games played March 18-24 as the Rookie of the Week.
July 27, 2023 Parker receives promotion, named Wilson head coach Wilson school officials announced the promotion of Vaughn Parker as the head coach of the Phoenix team. He becomes the second head coach in program history and takes over the reins after former skipper John Poss accepted a position with the University of Maryland.
March 20, 2023 Nothing Spartan about Aurora in extras Aurora scored five runs in the tenth inning to take an extra inning win from St. Mary's (Minn.) on Monday. Elsewhere it was Wilson and Waynesburg splitting in a chilly Pennsylvania field. Williams also earned a W in their first nine inning contest of the season.
April 22, 2022 Wilson, Berks holds on to win The walk offs and comebacks are the standard Hollywood ending but sometimes, a team has to build a lead and hold it during a last inning rally. Wilson survived a Salisbury comeback attempt to pull off the upset. Penn State Berks did the same, holding off Gallaudet.
