The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its eleventh season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the tenth Team of the Week of the 2022 season.

C Jace Fetterman, Fr., Lebanon Valley
Fetterman led the Dutchmen to a 2-1 week including a conference sweep at Albright on Saturday with a huge week at the plate batting .700 (7-for-10) with a 1.400 slugging percentage and .714 on-base percentage. The catcher had seven hits including one double and two home runs with eight RBIs and seven runs scored. On the base paths, he was a perfect three-for-three on stolen base attempts. Behind the plate, he threw three runners out trying to steal.
1B Josh Mesenbrink, Sr., Rose-Hulman
Mesenbrink blasted eight extra-base hits (two doubles, two triples, four home runs) and batted .556 (10-for-18) in a week that vaulted him into a tie for Rose-Hulman's single-season school record for home runs with 11. Mesenbrink scored nine runs scored and drove in seven and was perfect in 35 chances.
2B Jake Surane, So., Wis.-Oshkosh
Surane hit .733 (11-for-15) with two home runs, three doubles, seven runs batted in, 12 runs scored and seven stolen bases as UW-Oshkosh swept a four-game series with visiting Finlandia. Surane had multiple hits in each contest while posting percentages of 1.333 for slugging and .789 for on-base. He handled all six of his fielding opportunities without an error.
SS Brant Kym, Sr., Hope
Kym hit safely in all four Flying Dutchmen league wins last week, including four-hit games in back-to-back games. He batted .706 (12-for-17) with three doubles and a home run, his first of the season and the sixth of his career. He score five and drove in nine runs.
3B Damian Yenzi, Sr., Marietta
Yenzi had four or more hits in three of Marietta's four games last week. He was 15-for-20 (.750) with 10 runs scored and 18 RBI. He hit three doubles and five home runs. His three home runs in game one vs Heidelberg tied the Marietta single game record.
OF Kavi Caster, Jr., Salisbury
Caster put up big numbers during the Sea Gulls' 4-0 week, slashing .750/.833/1.583 (2.416 OPS) with a double, three home runs, 12 RBIs, seven runs scored and five stolen bases.
OF Ben Lavery, Jr., St. John Fisher
Lavery batted .571 last week as the Cardinals outscored their opposition 71-9 for the week. Lavery was 8-for-14 on the week with two doubles, four home runs, 13 RBI and nine runs scored. The junior also drew two walks, was hit by two pitches and slugged 1.571 overall on the week.
OF Keegan Vercoe, Sr., Northwestern (Minn.)
Vercoe hit for the "home run cycle" in a three game series against Bethany Lutheran with a solo home run, two run home run, three run home run, and a grand slam as he became Northwestern's all time home run leader by hitting his 24th home run of his career. He batted .450 (9-for-20) and added three doubles to his four home runs. He scored 13 runs with 14 RBI. He was 3-3 in stolen bases and walked six times.
DH Seth Betts, Sr., Crown
Betts hit for the cycle on Wednesday against Minnesota Morris in a week where he slashed .813/.870/1.563. He stole 12 bases this week in five games. Hit a double, triple and three home runs to go with 16 runs scored and nine RBI.
SP Carter Cochrane, Jr., Texas-Dallas
The Texas-Dallas junior right-hander tossed the second one-hitter by the Comets this season in a complete game, 3-0 win over Howard Payne to open Saturday's doubleheader with the visiting Yellow Jackets. Cochrane struck out four batters without a walk as he improved to 5-2 on the season. He took a perfect game into the fifth inning before giving up a two-out double by Joey Villarreal, the only base runner for HPU in the contest. Cochrane sat down the Yellow Jackets in order in six of seven frames, needing just 72 pitches in the victory.
SP Aidan Dunn, Sr., Eastern Conn. St.
Dunn had a win and his first career save in the team's 4-0 week. He struck out nine without a walk in six innings against Western Connecticut State, then got the final six outs against Southern Maine to preserve a 6-4 road. Dunn entered that game with none out and two on in the eighth and allowed only a sacrifice fly in that inning before striking out three batters in the ninth, the final two of whom represented the tying run.
SP Nick Glaser, So., Fontbonne
Glaser notched his sixth-consecutive win in a 4-0 shutout over Eureka. Glaser worked eight scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 13 and walking none. The 13 strikeouts are a new career-high for the sophomore pitcher.
SP Ben Smith, Jr., Worcester St.
Smith threw 17 scoreless innings over the course of two MASCAC series. Threw a complete-game seven inning shutout against MCLA, earning the victory after striking out eight and giving up just four hits. He then went 10 innings of scoreless baseball against Westfield State in a game that the Lancers went on to win 3-2 in 12 innings. In that game, he struck out eight and allowed just five hits over ten scoreless innings.
RP Brendan Ferrari, So., Mass.-Boston
In two appearances and 6.0 innings of work Ferrari struck out eight batters, while only allowing one hit and one run, which was unearned, He posted a 2-0 record, both against LEC opponents holding opponents to a .053 clip.
RP Aaron Flyte, So., Moravian
Flyte posted a 1-0 record on the mound in a 5-0 week for the Greyhounds. He tossed six innings in relief, the longest outing of his career, in the Greyhounds' 6-5, 11-inning win at DeSales University. Flyte scattered a hit and two walks to go with three strikeouts, tying his career best.
