Endicott, Johns Hopkins, Salisbury, Shenandoah and UW-La Crosse were the other teams that received at least one first place vote.
February 9, 2024 Region 9 Preview: Midwest The best teams in Region 9 comes from Wisconsin. UW-La Crosse looks as strong as does UW-Stevens Point. UW-Whitewater will be a factor as well. Add Bethel, Gustavus and Buena Vista and you have a region that competes with any other.

UW-La Crosse then chased the Hornets' All-American closer before Lynchburg settled down to get into the winners bracket in their first trip to the Division III World Series.
