2013 no-hitters

Carleton got the 2013 campaign started off with a bang. Three pitchers combined for the first no-hitter of the season in a doubleheader sweep of Crown (Minn.) on February 12, 2013. Playing the first D-III games this season at the Metrodome, the Knights prevailed by scores of 25-4 and 17-0.



Senior lefty Torey Mancari threw five no-hit innings and relievers Chris Somerville and Jake Black each added two hitless innings as Mary Washington defeated Penn State-Altoona, 5-0, in the opener of their doubleheader on Sunday February 24, 2013 at Dickinson Stadium. The Eagles won game two, 8-1, to improve to 5-2 on the year.


Senior Zach Jones threw McDaniel's first no-hitter in nearly 12 years to lead his team to a doubleheader sweep of Penn State-York in non-conference baseball action on Saturday March 9, 2013.


Earlham finished off a doubleheader sweep of Johnson University on Saturday March 9, 2013 in a big way. After winning the opener 11-4, Nate Hube tossed the second no-hitter in Earlham history as the Quakers won 12-0 in five innings.

Thiel senior starter Nick Rossmiller tossed the first perfect game in Tomcat history as Thiel defeated visiting Hiram 14-0 Friday evening at Tomcat Park on March 15, 2013.


Mitchell Paz made Purchase history on Saturday March 16th at Silver Lake Park, tossing a five-inning, complete game no-hitter against John Jay.


Junior Anthony Trevino threw a no-hitter for Sul Ross State on March 17, 2013 as the Lobos shutout Southwestern with a 12-0 win and took the series 3-0 Sunday afternoon.


Sophomore pitcher Steven Ramsdell pitched a six-inning no-hitter, catapulting the Gators to an 11-0 win in the second game of a sweep over Hamilton on Friday March 22, 2013.


Senior pitcher Phil Stakely threw Trine’s sixth no-hitter on record and the first in over a decade on Saturday March 30, 2013 as the Thunder swept a doubleheader from Albion.


Fontbonne senior pitcher Andrew Schlereth threw the second no hitter in program history helping the Griffins sweep a doubleheader from Greenville on April 2, 2013. Fontbonne won the first game 5-4 in extra innings and on the strength of Schlereth's no-no, won the second 3-0.


Conner Johnson threw the fifth no-hitter for Castleton State.

Conner Johnson threw just the fifth no-hitter in program history as the Castleton State Spartans earned a 5-1 victory in Saturday's opening game, and the offense came through in the second game with a 6-1 win on April 6, 2013.


Sophomore right-hander, Trevor Breton threw the first Golden Bears no-hitter since 2005 in game one of Western New England's sweep of Nichols on April 6, 2013.


Senior Oliver Van Zant threw the fifth no-hitter in Bowdoin's 146-year baseball history on Saturday April 13, 2013 in a 7-0 victory over Colby.


First-year pitcher, Adam Brant, has forever etched his name in the record book, pitching a complete no-hitter in game two of a conference doubleheader against Mount St. Mary Saturday April 13, 2013.


Dylan Dean Smith threw the first nine-inning no-hitter in Webster history as the Gorlok baseball team remained unbeaten in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on April 13, 2013.


Greg Sherman threw the first no hitter in Lasell program history in a 5-0 win over Anna Maria on Sunday April 14, 2013


Nate Jones pitched a no-hitter and Illinois College split a doubleheader at Grinnell on Sunday April 14, 2013, winning the opener, 3-0, before losing the nightcap, 10-4.


Ryan Jacobs's gem was the second perfect game on April 14, 2013 and the fifth no-hitter thrown on the day.

Sophomore righthander T.J. Notarangelo threw the fifth no-hitter in school history and the first in 11 years as Mass-Maritime completed a sweep of a MASCAC doubleheader from Fitchburg State with a 7-0 nightcap triumph at Riccards Field on April 14, 2013.


Penn State Harrisburg pitcher Derek Slagle made history on Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2013 when he became the first player in school-history to throw a perfect game.  The freshman gave up no runs, no hits and the Lions committed no errors en route to a 3-0 shutout victory over Penn College in the first game of a doubleheader.


WPI hurler Miles Schuler twirled a dominating, seven-inning no-hitter in game one on Friday April 19, 2013 on Granger Field. The Engineers won the opener 4-0 and the Cougars took the nightcap, 2-1.


Zach Finke pitched a seven inning no-hitter for Wittenberg as the Tigers took game one of a doubleheader 6-0 on Sunday April 21, 2013.


Andrew Arenson twirled Carthage's first solo no-hitter since Jason Wiertel no-hit Kalamazoo College on March 19, 1999.  Carthage defeated Lakeland 4-0 in Arenson's masterpeice on April 16, 2013.


Cory Ferm strengthened his status as one of the best pitchers in the UMAC on Monday April 6, 2013 by throwing a 8-0 no-hitter against Martin Luther in game one of a doubleheader at the BLC Baseball Field.


Derrick Capiak threw a no-hitter to lead Mount Aloysius to a 3-0 win over La Roche in the opener of the AMCC Tournament on Thursday May 9, 2013. Capiak allowed just two base runners, both on walks to the second and third batter he faced in the game
