Key hitters

Jackson Roberts DH Jackson Roberts

One of the big sticks in the lineup, Roberts had a memorable three-run home run off the left-field foul pole in the regional opener vs. Baldwin Wallace. He'll be tough to contend with in the cleanup spot in the Garnet order.

Key pitchers

Ricky Conti head shot RHP Ricky Conti

Not a big strikeout guy, maybe walks more than you'd like from an ace at this level, but has gone nine innings once and eight innings three times this season, so he eats innings. And he last threw vs. Cortland on May 18, so he'll be rested.

Scouting report

  • After a 3-for-23 tailspin to end the regular portion of the schedule, AJ Liu had a fantastic regional, going 10-for-16 with nine runs scored in the four games. Having that production, or even a semblance of it, at the top of the lineup will help the Garnet get off on the right foot.
  • The numbers don't lie -- these guys can hit. They hit the ball hard all up and down the order and generally put the ball in play.
  • After a fairly consistent regular season with the leather, the Garnet must have made coaches see red with nine errors over the final three games of the regional. If 'first Series jitters' strike Swarthmore, this might be a place you'll see it show up.
