  • UMAC tournament turned upside down

    UW-Superior was the final team to qualify for the UMAC tournament and with a 9-3 win over Crown advances to the Championship round. Earlier, top seeded North western won their first elimination contest and is battling in another with Crown late Friday night.

    Northwestern (Minn.) finished up their three game series with Minnesota-Morris by playing a doubleheader on Monday afternoon. History was made at Reynolds field on the chilly afternoon, as Bryce Crabb threw the first no-hitter on the mound for UNW since 2008. The Eagles would split the doubleheader and win the series.

    A HCAC hitter matched a NCAA Div. III record with four home runs in a game, an UMAC pitcher came a strikeout shy of matching the single-game Div. III record and plus nine no-hit innings spanning two outings by a GNAC rookie earned this week’s NCBWA honors.
  • Eagles win first ever UMAC tournament championship

    The No. 1 seeded Northwestern Eagles (32-10) won its first-ever conference tournament with a 10-1 victory over the No. 2 seeded St. Scholastica Saints (20-9). Northwestern will make its first-ever NCAA Baseball Appearance next weekend. Northwestern is hosting its regional and will find out who else is in their region on Sunday.
  • No foolin', Cabrini erupts for 16 runs

    Cabrini set a high water mark in runs on Thursday in a win over Marywood. In Minnesota, Northwestern scored 29 runs also setting a season high 19 runs in game two. Elsewhere it was Elms and Lesley splitting their season opening doubleheader.

  • Hieb hits 400th win with Northwestern

    Northwestern's Dave Hieb reached another milestone Thursday, as the longtime skipper earned his 400th career win at Northwestern. The Eagles split the non-conference doubleheader at Reynolds Field with visiting Finlandia.
  • UNW wins UMAC, Hieb wins #500
    With the 10-0 game one win, Coach Hieb becomes the first coach in University of Northwestern Athletics history to reach 500 wins. At the end of the day, the Eagles secured the number one seed in the UMAC tournament.
