The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in
its second season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine
positions from the previous week. Players are selected from
nominations from their school's sports information directors. This
is the third Team of the Week of the 2013 season.

C Danny Zaretsky, Sr., St. Joseph's
(Brooklyn)
Zaretsky knocked a team-best three extra base hits going 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBI in game two of a three-game set against Albertus Magnus helping the Bears to a 3-0 record, the best start in school history. The senior finished the week batting 5-for-9 (.556) with three RBI and a run scored.
1B Nick Boggan, Sr., Cal Lutheran
Boggan continued his dominance on the diamond this week, extending
his hit-streak to 12. He hit .500 (5-for-10) with two home runs and
a double during a 2-1 series win over Chapman. Boggan was walked
four times and collected four RBI while scoring five runs against
the Panthers.
2B Corey Wallace, Jr., Guilford
Wallace led the Quakers to a 2-1 week with a .583 batting average
(7-for-12), two triples and six RBI over three games. Wallace had
at least two hits in all three games, including a 3-for-4 showing
in a win over Immaculata.
SS Kyle McKelvey, Sr., Western New
England
McKelvey, the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week,
led the Golden Bears' offense in a 2-1 season-opening weekend. He
batted .462 (6-for-13) with five RBI. He slugged .538 and got
on-base 46.7 percent of the time. He committed only one error in 16
fielding chances.
3B Colby Gee, Jr., Ithaca
Gee batted .412 (7-for-17) on the week. He homered twice and drove
in seven runs over four games as the Bombers started the season
with four-straight wins, including victories over Old Westbury and
Eastern Connecticut State. Gee also scored seven runs in the
opening weekend.
OF Mike Denlinger, Jr., Johns Hopkins
Denlinger was nearly perfect at the plate this week, going 5-for-6
(.833) with two walks and four RBIs for the undefeated Blue Jays.
The junior reached base on all five at-bats against Oneonta State,
going 3-for-3 with two walks, two RBI and two runs.
OF Michael Mascari, Sr., Oswego St.
Mascari had a monster weekend in Oswego State's opening games of
the season. In two games, he batted .833 (5-for-6) with five RBI
and two runs scored. Mascari went 4-for-4 with four RBI in the
Lakers' 10-5 come-from-behind win at TCNJ. He was named SUNYAC
Baseball Player of the Week.
OF Mark Riendeau, So., Louisiana
College
Riendeau had a career best week, going 12-for-18 (.667) over a
four game stretch. He set career highs for hits (4) and RBI (6).
For the week, Riendeau had 2 doubles, 1 triple, and 10 RBI.
DH Danny Clifford, Jr., George Fox
After missing five games with a sore arm, Clifford made a
triumphant return to the lineup in a three game sweep of Lewis
& Clark that opened Northwest Conference play for the Bruins.
In his first at bat back, he slugged a three-run home run to start
the Bruins on the way to victory. In game two, Clifford tied a
school record three doubles. In the finale, his 9th-inning walk to
forced in the tying run as the Bruins rallied from an 8-3 deficit
in the inning.
SP Max Beatty, Jr., Pacific Lutheran
Beatty pitched 8 innings of a 1-0 win over Willamette to open the
NWC season for the Lutes. Beatty scattered three hits and did not
allow a walk, while striking out five.
SP Ryan Conklin, Fr., Bard
In Conklin's first collegiate start, he threw a seven-inning, one-hit shutout, striking out 14 and walking one in a 7-0 win over Yeshiva. He also went 2-for-7 with two RBI in Bard's doubleheader sweep, which were the first varsity baseball contests for Bard since 1937.
SP Kevin Herget, Sr., Kean
Herget picked up career win #22 as he led Kean to a 7-1 win over
FDU-Florham. He fanned 11 in eight innings of work. He allowed just
two hits on the day with one walk.
RP Ryan Fleischmann, Sr., Christopher
Newport
Fleischmann, saved two games this week, moving into second
all-time in the USA South Athletic Conference record book for
career saves. He appeared in four games, striking out nine batters
in four innings of work, while giving up just one hit.
