    In a season that has seen Centre make history and rewrite the program record books over and over, another milestone was hit today as the Colonels walked off for a 3-2 win over Hendrix to win the SAA Tournament for the first time, securing an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

    With the first round of the SAA tournament in the books it was three sweeps as top seeded Centre advanced as well as under dogs Sewanee and Rhodes. Fourth seeded Hendrix defeated Oglethorpe two games to one. The Colonels will host the double elimination pod round of the SAA Tournament on May 2-4.
  • Roanoke sweeps Randolph-Macon on Saturday

    Roanoke earned a tie for fifth place in the final ODAC standing with a dominate sweep of Randolph-Macon, scoring 25 runs off a staff with a sub 5 ERA. Elsewhere in Region 6, the field is set for the SAA Championship round next weekend.
  • Hosts fall as SAA tournament opens

    Centre dumped host Berry in the Berry pod of the SAA Tournament on Thursday. Birmingham-Southern had a better time but dropped their opener to Sewanee in the BSC pod. The trend was the same for the under card games with the lower seed advancing.

  • Rosen takes over for Jenkins at Rose Hulman

    Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has named nationally regarded Adam Rosen as its next head baseball coach, effective August 25. Rosen replaces Jeff Jenkins, who served 32 years in the role before announcing his retirement as athletic director and head baseball coach following the 2021 season.

    Matt Schirm has resigned as Central College's head coach after seven seasons. Schirm joined the Central staff in 2015 after serving as the top assistant at Wartburg College from 2011-14.

    Centre used a no-hitter to reach the SAA tournament and they pitched another gem as they bounced No. 13 Berry into the losers bracket. Birmingham-Southern took care of business, shutting out Rhodes.

    Centre rebounded from Saturday's walk-off loss by securing the no. 4 seed in next week's SAA Tournament against the Hendrix Warriors. Behind a no-hitter from Jake Holloway, the Colonels won by a score of 5-0.

    Centre defeated Berry and set their program record for wins with their 23rd win, besting the mark set 18 years earlier. A Johnson and Wales grand slam was part of a seven run ninth to walk off on Mass-Dartmouth.

    It took Kean four hours to defeat Brockport in the regulation nine. Centre, Hendrix and Trinity (Texas) all needed extra innings to walk-off their Sunday contests.
