Elsewhere Mary Washington and Virginia Wesleyan earning upset conference wins.
March 8, 2024 Rowan rolls on Friday Rowan rolled to an 11-1 win over Mount St. Vincent but was not the only team with a 10 runs win on Friday. Alvernia, Clark, Mount Union and Virginia Wesleyan also won by double digit totals.
March 5, 2022 Marlins split doubleheader against No. 12 Rowan; Sinko's walk off single pushes Marlins past Profs VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia - The Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan split their doubleheader against the No. 12 Profs of Rowan University. RU took game one 4-2 while VWU won game two 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning on a walk off single by Matt Sinko.
April 11, 2021 Virginia Wesleyan takes marathon, then sweeps Ferrum Virginia Wesleyan and Ferrum played into the 16th inning in the longest game of the day. The Marlins scored three in the 16th to end the game, then won in regulation to sweep Ferrum.
February 26, 2020 Castleton opens day with win, Virginia Wesleyan gets upset Pitching and offense gave Castleton a win as they battled weather in Florida. back north, Salisbury moved off their campus for the first time and Virginia Wesleyan was inhospitable as they gave the No. 9 Sea Gulls their second loss of the season.
July 12, 2018 Seay will lead New Platz next season SUNY-New Paltz officials announced the hire of Thomas Seay as new head baseball coach. Seay joins the Hawks after three seasons with Virginia Wesleyan College as the assistant coach.
